Job Summary
The Sr. Accountant, Corporate Accounting will play a key role in recording general ledger activity for our corporate entities and partnering closely with teams across the organization to deliver accurate, timely internal reporting. The associate will serve as a trusted business partner by providing clear, reliable financial insights and communicating results to key stakeholders. This role will also conduct and present detailed accounting analyses that support precise and timely actuals reporting for internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess full cycle accounting experience, strong organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive month‑end and ongoing accounting activity by preparing and reviewing journal entries, including allocations, reclasses, and accruals, as well as completing accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
- Partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather the information needed for timely and accurate expense accruals.
- Manage weekly corporate credit card activity, ensuring all transactions are recorded and summarized for monthly reporting to accounting leadership.
- Lead monthly analyses for assigned income statement accounts, providing clear variance explanations and proactively addressing issues as they arise.
- Monitor corporate entity income statement activity throughout the month to ensure expenses are routed to the correct departments and cost centers.
- Perform complex monthly analyses, such as medical benefits, workers’ compensation, and technology project spend, to support precise general ledger activity.
- Review corporate lease agreements and record all related office and vehicle lease expenses while maintaining detailed lease schedules and reconciliations.
- Oversee bank reconciliation reviews for multiple accounts, ensuring accurate recording of incoming and outgoing cash transactions.
- Prepare and process wire payments as needed, collaborating with Accounts Payable to ensure proper general ledger treatment.
- Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance efforts, by providing timely and accurate documentation.
- Contribute to cross‑functional projects and champion process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and controls, promptly identifying inconsistencies or issues for management review.
- Perform additional responsibilities and initiatives as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, with the ability to apply principles confidently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in an accounting or finance role; intercompany accounting exposure is a strong plus.
- Background in the real estate industry—or experience within a large public company—is highly preferred.

- Hands‑on approach with a willingness to dive into details to ensure accuracy and execution.
- Demonstrated success working independently as well as in a collaborative, team‑focused environment.

- Ability to work in office on a regular and consistent basis to conform to team requirements; overtime may be required for this position.
Physical and Mental Demands
This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. Salary Range
The salary range for this position is: $67,875.00 - $117,650.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.Compensation and Benefits
