Senior Internal Auditor
Job Description
Reporting directly to the Internal Audit Senior Manager, the Senior Internal Auditor will work to establish an effective internal audit program throughout Invitation Homes including identifying, planning, organizing and executing audits that work towards Invitation Homes' goals and objectives. The position will have a key role in assessing the company's compliance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and in executing operational and market audits. The position will be further called on to identify process improvements throughout Invitation Homes control environment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Execute the quarterly and annual SOX 404 assessment of the company's control environment.
Execute the market audit program.
Execute operational audit programs.
Work with department heads to ensure that management action plans are implemented.
Perform data analytics with a dedicated software program.
Ensure audit work papers and reports are completed timely, logical, and organized to support conclusions.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related finance field.
3 to 5 years' experience in Internal Audit.
Preferred: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
Skills/Specialized Knowledge
High proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in IDEA software a big plus.
Ability to effectively draft narratives, flowcharts, management reports, remediation plans in a professional and well-articulated manner.
Must be an effective, highly professional finance professional who inspires confidence in colleagues and within the broader organization.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be resourceful, strategic and possess excellent analytical abilities.
Should be an energetic, entrepreneurial, self-starter capable of self-direction.
Should be driven to deliver quality results on time, with a high degree of integrity and in a highly ethical and professional manner.
Should be self-reliant and have strong initiative as well as possess solid business judgment.
Other Requirements
There may be minimal travel potential for this role.
Salary Range
$61,650.00 - $106,860.00Compensation and Benefits
