The National Director, Property Management is a strategic operational leader responsible for providing management, direction, and guidance to ensure that the company’s property management functions are executed consistently and effectively across all assets. This role includes participating in new initiatives to enhance process efficiency and resident experience, supporting daily operational questions from field teams, and ensuring reporting and performance metrics are developed, monitored, and maintained. The overall objective of the role is to deliver national support to both field and corporate associates by ensuring business processes are well‑designed, effectively implemented, and sustainably supported across the portfolio. We are looking for a hands‑on leader who champions a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and results, ensuring every team member is equipped and empowered to deliver exceptional outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide national leadership for all property management operations, ensuring consistency, high performance, and alignment with company standards across the entire portfolio.
  • Build strong relationships with field teams and market leadership to ensure alignment, open communication, and consistent execution of operational priorities.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of centralized support teams with the primary focus of serving a multi-faceted customer base that includes market teams (directly) and residents (indirectly)
  • Lead the development, documentation, and rollout of standardized business processes that drive operational consistency and long-term scalability.
  • Provide clear, routine feedback to stakeholders on operational performance and process improvement opportunities.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives in partnership with Leasing, Accounting, Finance, Legal, Technology, HR, and other departments to support enterprise-level priorities.
  • Analyzes and evaluates the financial impact of ongoing and proposed strategic initiatives. Monitors industry trends and evaluates the potential impact on the department’s financial performance

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in management or related field
  • Five or more years of experience in property management and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel to Markets as needed on a regular basis
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze processes, solve problems, make sound decisions, and manage time and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong partnerships, influence across teams, and collaborate effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal capabilities, including the ability to present to large groups and support high‑quality interactions with residents and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with key operational platforms, including Yardi (or similar), Salesforce, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, printer, and copier.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is: $110,587.50 - $191,685.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
