The Technology Asset Manager will develop, document and drive the company’s Asset Management strategy, its adoption and evolution with a focus on standards. This position will have the ability to lead and execute key asset management initiatives across the Technology ecosystem. This position will work with Support Services, Infrastructure, Office of the CIO, and Operations teams to create policies, metrics and supporting practices to ensure compliance of license entitlements, SOX, and IT Asset/License management processes.
What You’ll Do
Apply proven experience developing strategy for the hardware asset management including the mobile footprint and software asset management platforms.
Conduct audits and perform analytics to identify proactive actions and ensure remediation.
Drive automation of IT Asset Processes utilizing ServiceNow requests and workflows.
The Asset Manager will be accountable for monitoring, tracking, and maintaining an accurate count of all deployed and in stock hardware including mobile devices, software licenses, warranty agreements and renewals.
Ensure company compliance with terms and conditions of Software License Agreements including evaluating/analyzing licenses, warranties, and maintenance inventory.
Develop and publish operational reporting/metrics through the ServiceNow HAM (Hardware Asset Management) and SAM (Software Asset Management) modules.
Proven ability to analyze, evaluate, define action plans and coordinate with other teams to support deployments, upgrades, and end of life asset retirement.
Support the Employee Buy-Back program implementation and on-going operations.
Evaluate and select technologies to meet business needs, including evaluating, recommending, and managing technology vendors where appropriate.
Participate in annual budgeting processes, assisting with forecasting and helping to manage the overall hardware and software budgets.
Experience with Intune device management
Who We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
3-5years of experience in IT/Asset Mgt./Licensing
3+ years software license management experience, understanding of terms and specification of usage rights
ServiceNow SAM and HAM knowledge (preferred)
Strong technologist with knowledge of hardware
Strong analytical, data analysis and planning abilities
Strong excel skills
Service Desk experience (preferred)
Results oriented self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work
