Job Description
About Invitation Homes
Invitation Homes has established itself as a leading performer in the REIT sector since its IPO in 2017, assembling a high-quality portfolio of more than 85,000 homes with an enterprise value of roughly $30 billion. Backed by a resilient single-family rental market and strong operating fundamentals, the company continues to pursue disciplined growth across multiple fronts — deploying its own balance sheet capital, investing alongside partners through joint ventures it manages, and expanding its third-party property management platform for institutional owners.
The Corporate Development and FP&A teams play a central role in advancing this strategy by sourcing, evaluating, and executing strategic opportunities/deals that shape the company’s long-term growth trajectory. The teams also help refine and update financial forecasts to support budgeting, performance analysis, and forward-looking strategic planning. For the Summer Analyst Program, the team is seeking candidates who combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Ideal candidates are comfortable managing multiple projects, working in a team setting, being comfortable being open to communicating insights clearly, and eager to learn in a dynamic, high-impact setting.
Internship Overview
The internship is a 10-week immersive program designed to provide students with hands-on experience working on complex, real-world transactions and strategic initiatives. Interns will collaborate closely with managers and mentors, tackling meaningful challenges and contributing to impactful work that supports the company’s long-term growth strategy.
The program also offers professional development opportunities, including executive speaker sessions, networking events, and exposure to teams across the organization. The goal is to equip interns with strong technical, analytical, and leadership skills, laying the foundation for a successful career in Corporate Development and FP&A. High-performing interns will have the opportunity to transition into a Full-Time Analyst role upon successful completion of the program.
