Invitation Homes 10-week paid summer internship is the first step in building a career as an FP&A associate. Our interns deliver innovative solutions to real business challenges and build enduring relationships with their manager and assigned mentor.  This is an opportunity for personal and professional development, community outreach, executive speaker series and other meaningful intern specific events.   

This Corporate Strategy & Capital Markets Intern is a unique opportunity to learn the operations of the FP&A department firsthand. We are seeking a motivated Corporate Strategy & Capital Markets Intern who is ready to apply business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real world environment.  The intern will assist in financial modeling, auditing existing company property and financial reporting including performance metrics.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and identify trends and key findings in both qualitative and quantitative data sets from various systems, i.e., Yardi, Salesforce, Enterprise Data Warehouse proprietary tool, Anaplan, Power BI, and KNIME.

  • Audit existing property listing descriptions and photos to ensure brand consistency

  • Assist in excel modeling and routine weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual report generation to support the Corporate Strategy and Capital Markets teams.

  • Track macroeconomic and market-specific performance indicators within the real estate market. 

  • Assist in development of new models in both Anaplan and Excel to support Corporate Strategy and Capital Markets initiatives.

Education and/or Experience

  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited university in Finance or another related field with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028

  • High degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability; specifically, the ability to work as self-starter 

  • Desire to grow professionally and collaborate with others 

  • Ability to prioritize/execute to achieve desired company and project goals with prudence and sense of urgency 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

  • Desire to work in Dallas, Texas

Salary Range

$16.37 - $28.38
