The Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing internal communications messaging and programs. This position reports to the Manager, Communications & Public Relations.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop written and graphic internal communications materials - primarily for routine communications subjects - including internal intranet, emails, calendars, publications, presentations, and some external social media posts and communications as needed; coordinate required approvals.

  • Distribute internal communications through established channels.

  • Ensure messaging and communications are consistent with overall company communications strategy and voice.

  • Use Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva to develop graphics for use in internal and external communications channels, adhering to company brand standards.

  • Maintain strong and productive relationships with internal partners.

  • Ensure regular updates of intranet to keep the site fresh.

  • Create and maintain content for office TV communications channel. Serve as a point of contact for site editors.

  • Support emergency response and crisis communications as needed.

  • Help support community engagement and company events efforts as needed.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, advertising, marketing, or related degree.

  • 2 or more years of communications experience, with strong preference for corporate or agency experience.

  • Creative ability, with demonstrated graphic design experience.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills; a writing test is required.

  • Demonstrated strong creative design skills; a creative test is required.

  • Understanding of all types of communications vehicles that will effectively tell the company’s story to internal and external audiences.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Strong process orientation.

  • Knowledge and use of AP style.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Canva, and web posting.

  • Knowledge of video editing software a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Customer service orientation and diplomacy skills.
