Job Description

The Sr. Associate, Investment Management is responsible for providing lead analytical support and guidance to the Investment Management Group Sr. leadership team.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the underwriting process; verify, change or create underwriting assumptions on potential real estate investments.
  • Establish best in class analytical procedures, SOP’s.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide team of junior Investment Analysts.
  • Track economic and performance indicators for new acquisitions.
  • Lead the preparation and creation of feasibility studies and board decks.
  • Manage the completion of market surveys and other market analysis.
  • Provide timely interpretation of data for recommendations.
  • Analyze existing investment and provide recommendations to Sr. Investment Management Leadership team.
  • Analyze and prepare recommendations for improving investment and management processes
  • Monitor and evaluate financial and operating results on a daily basis
  • Regular, informed maintenance of listing rents based on internal and external market conditions.
  • Research real estate markets for potential opportunities.
  • Monitor progress of all acquisition channels.
  • Participate as needed on Regional Investment and Operations calls.
  • Complete projects assigned by SVP of Investments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum 4-year college degree in business, or finance or other investment-related field.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of financial modeling experience, with real estate/investment banking focus preferable.
  • MBA preferred but not required.

  • Expert knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel.

  • Must maintain professional appearance.
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis
  • Current driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Limited travel required.

Physical and Mental Demands

This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. This position requires the ability to talk, hear, compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate and communicate. Salary Range

The salary range for this position is: $84,225.00 - $145,990.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
