Job Description
The Analyst, Asset Management is responsible for providing research, analysis, reporting and development to support the Asset and Investment Management Group, overseeing a portfolio of 80,000+ single family rental properties. This position reports to the Director, Asset Management or above.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare financial analyses and reports
- Assist implementation, tracking and metrics assessments of Asset Management programs
- Ability to underwrite investment properties, establishing monthly rental rate, property value and required capital investment
- Provide support to the capital allocation, budgeting and planning process
- Maintain a thorough understanding of company’s financial information systems including the ability to write financial reports and make inquiries for data
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Forecast, analyze and provide summary of organizational trends
- Create specified ad hoc reports, graphs and charts of financial data
- Develop and update models to provide analysis for various financial conditions related to Asset and Investment Management, Accounting and Operations
- Provide ongoing tracking, reporting and analysis of trends in various operating areas
- Prepare and analyze Daily Cash Analysis reports and weekly Cash Forecasting
- Prepare and analyze Consolidated Reporting to Investors
- Research real estate markets for potential opportunities
- Analyze and prepare recommendations for improving investment and management processes
- Monitor and evaluate financial and operating results on a periodic basis as required
- Track economic and performance indicators within real estate markets
- Timely interpretation of data for recommendations
- Complete projects assigned by Asset Management leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, Mathematics or a related field
- Quantitative degree, programming and/or supportive coursework preferred
- 0 to 2+ years of experience in residential asset management or institutional real estate; Single family preferred
- 0 to 2+ years of experience in extensive, detailed data analysis and reporting
- 1+ years of programming experience in Python or R
Required Licenses or Certifications
- Current driver’s license and automobile insurance
Skills/Specialized Knowledge
- Proficiency utilizing Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and basic OS tools
- Familiarity with data science tools, including coding in Python or R required
- Experience utilizing Tableau, PowerBI or other data visualization software required
- Strong data and financial modeling skills required
- Comprehension of federal fair housing laws and any applicable local housing provisions
- Ability to create and design general marketing pieces for in-house production
- Knowledge of current single-family customer product demands, drivers, and trends
- Experience utilizing Salesforce for workflow and approval management
- Experience utilizing Yardi or similar property management software
- Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (SQL) beneficial
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and get along with others
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to facilitate presentations or speak in public to large groups of people
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain flexibility and creativity in a variety of situations
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to perform intermediate mathematical functions
- Ability to set and meet goals and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is: $61,650.00 - $106,860.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.Compensation and Benefits
